Fostering Active Learning and Interaction Through In-Person Instruction
Research shows that active learning in the classroom increases student learning and motivation, and it also plays a significant role in the retention of first-year college students. To support graduate students and postdocs as we transition back to in-person instruction, this interactive workshop highlights evidence-based strategies for promoting active learning and interaction in the transitional context. Participants will learn about the importance of active learning and come away with activities they can apply immediately to in-person instruction.
